Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Reveals Details About New Fraud Scheme

A group of fraudsters is currently conducting targeted attacks on individuals engaged in various sectors. Minister of High Technology Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“The fraudsters are well-prepared. They seriously study people's personal, professional, and social connections. Afterward, they use a fake account created in the name of someone known in a specific field (WhatsApp, Viber, etc.) to present false information, claiming that the National Security Service is interested in the individual. This is followed by contact from a fake NSS employee, who often speaks in Russian. Ultimately, the targeted individual is coerced in every possible way to transfer funds from their bank accounts to another account, allegedly to ‘save themselves.’
