Avanesyan on the Launch of the Medical Insurance Program

The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, stated that the draft law on universal medical insurance will be sent to the Government in the coming days.

During a joint meeting of parliamentary standing committees discussing the draft state budget for 2026, Avanesyan mentioned that the insurance package is in the phase of decision-making and final adjustments within the budget framework.

"We will send it to the Government for discussion in the coming days. Our goal is to adopt the law by the end of the year, which will allow the program to launch in 2026," the minister stated, adding that the ministry's budget for 2026 is historic.
