Aliyev Rejects Armenia's Invitation

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will not participate in the European Political Community summit scheduled to be held in Yerevan in the spring of 2026. This was reported by Azerbaijani state-affiliated sources citing local media.

It is noted that Aliyev declined the Armenian side's invitation, citing that the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan has not yet been finalized.

According to the same sources, the Azerbaijani side believes that the participation of the leaders of the two countries in such an event is inappropriate until the document is signed.

The European Political Community summit is set to take place in Yerevan under the auspices of the EU, aiming to promote regional cooperation and dialogue.
