Zangezur Corridor Will Ensure Uninterrupted Land Communication Between Turkey and Azerbaijan, Demir
The Zangezur Corridor (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, TRIPP) will change the economic map of the South Caucasus by enabling the reduction of transportation distances and delivery times, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the Middle Corridor and ensuring uninterrupted land communication between Turkey and Azerbaijan. This was announced by Hilmi Demir, the director of the Institute for Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies at the Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV) based in Ankara.
"In the case of Turkey, the Zangezur Corridor will promote the economic development of the provinces in Eastern Anatolia, as well as ensure the flexibility of supply chains between Central Asia and Europe. Finally, for Armenia, the new route will provide an opportunity for balanced integration with both the East and the West, and will also increase revenues from logistics services," stated the head of the analytical center operating in Ankara.
