Finance Minister Details Budget Allocations for 2026

The Justice Ministry is proposed to receive 24 billion 3 million drams in the 2026 budget, which is an increase of 187 million drams compared to the amount planned for 2025. This was announced by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan in the National Assembly.

The second agency is the Supreme Judicial Council, for which an allocation of 16 billion 845 million drams is proposed, representing a decrease of 308 million drams compared to the budget planned for 2025. The State Revenue Committee is suggested to receive an additional 168 million drams, totaling 1 billion 102 million drams. This adjustment is attributed to the transfer of certain functions to the State Revenue Committee and an increase in positions.

The National Assembly is proposed to receive 68 million drams less, totaling 7 billion 4 million drams. The Presidential Administration is proposed to be allotted 40 million drams less, amounting to 1 billion 618 million drams. The Prime Minister's Office is expected to see an increase of 1 billion 520 million drams, totaling 25 billion 804 million drams. This primarily relates to expenses for the planned eighth summit of the European Political Community in Armenia next year, as well as additional funding for laboratory tests in the field of food safety.

The Central Electoral Commission is proposed to receive 7 billion 20 million drams more than in 2025, totaling 7 billion 513 million drams, due to the upcoming regular National Assembly elections next year. The Anti-Corruption Commission is proposed to receive 15 million drams less, or a total of 405 million drams. The most critical body, the Constitutional Court, is suggested to receive 41 million drams more, totaling 912 million drams,” Hovhannisyan said.
