Transfer of Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine Will Not Change Battlefield Situation, Says Estonian Defense Minister

Estonia's Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur does not believe that the transfer of Tomahawk missiles from the United States to Ukraine will impact the course of military operations. "I don't think... this will be a turning point," he stated in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País, responding to a question about whether the acquisition of these missiles could change the situation on the battlefield.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on October 23 that if Ukraine uses Tomahawk missiles against Russian territory, Moscow's response will be "severe, if not surprising." In response to journalists' requests, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Putin's remarks, noting that they are "quite clear and do not require further explanation." Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that the use of Tomahawk missiles is exclusive to the United States and that they do not plan to transfer them to any other country.
