Shawn 'Diddy' Combs' Official Release Date Revealed

According to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, rapper and producer Shawn 'Diddy' Combs, currently held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Brooklyn, New York, is set to be released on May 8, 2028. As reported by Page Six, Combs may be transferred to another correctional facility during his 50-month sentence.

Earlier this month, the 55-year-old artist was informed that he would be facing four years and two months of incarceration. The court has also mandated Combs to pay a fine of $500,000 and participate in mental health and addiction recovery programs.

A federal judge in Manhattan mentioned that they took into account Combs’ creative and social contributions, highlighting his success through self-effort and his support for communities. However, the judge added that it is essential to consider Combs' entire history, including behavior that has caused physical, emotional, and psychological harm to others.

Shawn Combs was arrested in September 2024 on two counts related to organizing prostitution and sentenced to 50 months in prison. He was acquitted of human trafficking and extortion charges, which carried a life sentence. Since Combs has been in custody since that month, that time will be credited toward his overall sentence.
