No Community Is Under Blockade. No Communication Issues Will Arise, Secretary of the Security Council
Azerbaijan had expressed a desire to secure a road to Nakhchivan, which also has a corridor logic to it, something unacceptable for us. We have prioritized not having any deals within the framework of corridor logic, said the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan during a conversation with journalists.
In response to the question of what counterbalance there would be in creating customs posts on the Goris-Kapan road for the Armenian side, Armen Grigoryan noted that this is not being done for counterbalance purposes.
"This is the general logic. If these roads are used by Azerbaijani citizens, we will also carry out the corresponding processes," said the Secretary of the Security Council.
Armen Grigoryan mentioned that no community is under blockade. He noted that the quality of the roads is not at a very high level, but large-scale work has recently been done to improve the roads, at least at the dirt level.
"There will be no communication issues in those communities," stated the Secretary of the Security Council.
Regarding the observation about whether we are abandoning a section of the Goris-Kapan road, the Secretary of the Security Council noted that a part of that road sometimes passes through the territory of Armenia and sometimes through the territory of Azerbaijan according to existing legal maps.
