Ministry of High-Tech Industry Budget to Decrease by Over 10 Billion Drams in 2026

The Armenian Ministry of High-Tech Industry will receive 37 billion 352 million drams from the state budget for 2026, which is a reduction of 10 billion 157 million drams compared to the allocation in 2025.

This announcement was made by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan during a joint session of the National Assembly's permanent committees discussing the draft law on the "Republic of Armenia 2026 State Budget."

According to Hovhannisyan, the ministry will continue to implement several programs, including initiatives for the development of the high-tech industry ecosystem and market, the formulation and monitoring of state policies in the sector, the development of the defense industry, and ensuring the processes of telecommunications and digital transformation.

The minister underscored that the total expenditures of the 2026 state budget will amount to 3 trillion 628 billion drams. Currently, discussions on the draft continue in the permanent committees of the National Assembly.
