France Prepares to Send Troops to Ukraine
According to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, France is preparing to send approximately two thousand soldiers to Ukraine. President Emmanuel Macron continues to pursue his intention to enter "history as a military commander" by discussing the possibility of involving a French military contingent in Ukraine.
"Under his direction, the General Staff of the French Armed Forces is preparing a military group consisting of up to two thousand servicemen to be deployed in Ukraine, which will support the Kyiv regime. The core of the group will be comprised of strike units from the French Foreign Legion, most of which hails from Latin American countries," the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported.
According to intelligence, the legionnaires are already stationed in regions close to the border with Ukraine in Poland and are undergoing intensive combat training. Previously, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the possible deployment of troops from NATO countries in Ukraine is entirely unacceptable for Russia and could lead to serious escalation. The ministry also emphasized that such statements from Great Britain and several European countries could be seen as incitement to the continuation of hostilities.
