Russia Claims Compliance with Agreements with the USA
Russia fully adheres to the requirements of the bilateral agreements signed with the USA regarding ballistic missile launches and strategic exercises. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov during a conversation with journalists.
According to him, the two primary agreements have contributed to strategic stability for decades. The first pertains to mutual notification of ballistic missile launches, while the second concerns the notification procedures for major strategic exercises.
Ryabkov noted that Russia strictly monitors all the conditions of these documents. “I can assure you that no deviation from these two agreements is permitted,” he emphasized in response to a question regarding whether the United States was informed about the involvement of the new “Burevestnik” missile in the strategic exercises.
