Aliyev Withdraws Azerbaijan's Consul from Tabriz

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order recalling Mehdi oghlu Huseynov from his position as the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the APA agency, the presidential decree does not provide any further details. The consulate in Tabriz ensures Azerbaijan's diplomatic presence in the northwestern region of Iran.

The agency notes that it is still unknown who will be appointed to replace Huseynov.
