2026 State Budget Discussed for First Time in Peaceful Conditions, Says Pashinyan

During the discussion of the draft state budget for 2026 in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that this is the first budget being discussed in peaceful conditions.

"I want to reaffirm once again that the peace declaration in Washington on August 8, 2025, has established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Pashinyan said.

According to the Prime Minister, peace now has measurable indicators. "For 1 year and 8 months, there has been no soldier casualties due to shelling on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. In our history of independence, we have never had such a 1 year and 8 months," he emphasized.

Pashinyan added that this circumstance is an important prerequisite for economic development and the implementation of long-term programs.
