Dmitry Muratov, Engaged in Anti-Armenian Propaganda, Receives Nobel Prize

The fact is that the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the leader of a newspaper that is not engaged in objectively covering events or analyses, but rather in provocations. During the 44-day war over Artsakh in 2020, ‘Novaya Gazeta’ was openly engaged in anti-Armenian propaganda, while the aggression from Azerbaijan was directed specifically at the Armenian population in Artsakh, merely because they sought to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination...

It is noteworthy that Ilia Azar, a journalist at ‘Novaya Gazeta,’ was stripped of accreditation by the Armenian Foreign Ministry for anti-Armenian activities, while many other foreign journalists risked their lives merely to convey the truth about Azerbaijan's atrocities to the world. Knowing this, the decision to award the Peace Prize to the editor of a newspaper that sided with the aggressor and the war can be considered a slap in the face of justice. The newspaper, which portrays itself as a defender of human rights, simply disregards the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and is rewarded for it. Clearly, the world needs to rethink its values,” the website said.

It is also noted that during the 44-day war, Muratov claimed in an interview with the ‘Echo of Moscow’ media outlet that Kurdish militants were present in Artsakh supporting the Armenians. “Muslim Kurds support Nagorno-Karabakh and maintain the Lachin corridor, which divides Armenia from Azerbaijan’s territory. They, the Muslims, support the Armenians,” Muratov was quoted by Infoteka24.ru.
