Trump Claims Putin Acknowledged Efforts Towards Peace Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

U.S. President Donald Trump has recounted his conversation regarding peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Responding to a journalist's query about a possible new meeting with the Russian president, Trump stated that he does not intend to waste his time. He mentioned that he has always had a wonderful relationship with Putin, but expressed disappointment that he expected peace in Ukraine to be achieved much sooner than peace in the Middle East.

In this context, Trump also recalled the agreements made between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which were brokered during his presidency, and shared what Putin told him about it. “We have Armenia and Azerbaijan. It was very complicated. In fact, Putin told me during our phone conversation that 'it's great because everyone was trying to achieve it but couldn’t, and you were able to.' I succeeded in that,” he added.

Trump also reminded about his mediation in other conflict resolutions.
