Let's Act Together Regardless of Our Different Mindsets and Perspectives, Says Armenian President

Dear compatriots,

I congratulate you on our most important national holiday, the Independence Day. On September 21, 1991, we unitedly and confidently said "yes" to independence. The dreams we had in striving for and proclaiming independence have come true through our independent statehood.

However, this journey continues. For us, as a people and a state, many things still lie ahead—new projects, new goals, new victories. To achieve this, we need a clear vision, a realistic program, and steadfast will. The future is born from decisions and efforts that arise from these, from our thinking and consciousness, from the collective of our work, relying on our national and moral values, our history, and our heritage.

Only individuals, societies, and nations that do not forget and appreciate their past, traditions, culture, and language, while looking forward and feeling the time, can develop their spiritual and material existence in both the real and virtual worlds.

No matter how much the world changes, the foundation of foundations will always be goodness, compassion, and the pursuit of justice and truth—everything upon which our national value system is based.

Our brothers and sisters—whether soldiers or freedom fighters, doctors or intellectuals, farmers or writers from Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora, all those who have fought, dedicated themselves to the homeland—Armenia and Artsakh, and those who have sacrificed their lives for its independence, urge us all not to spare anything for the present and the future. I bow before them.

Dear compatriots,

Today, we again have devoted individuals by our side who safeguard our culture and science, our health and education, those who are bearers and defenders of our national identity and values, who are dedicating their efforts to strengthening the homeland and ensuring the security of our native land—ranging from soldiers to healthcare workers, scientists to IT specialists, teachers from remote villages to kindergarten educators, grain growers to bakers, musicians to athletes, innovators to archaeologists...

The fate of the homeland depends on all of us and each of us, on our ability to be responsible, to take on responsibility, our solidarity, unity, kindness, and tolerance towards each other. We must unite.

Let us act together regardless of our different mindsets, worldviews, and perceptions. Independence Day should be a symbol of our national unity. Let us protect and strengthen our homeland—Armenia and Artsakh—as the core and cornerstone of our national aspirations.

Peace and prosperity to our homeland and people. Long live the Republic of Armenia. Long live the Republic of Artsakh. Long live the united Armenian people. Long live the citizen of the Republic of Armenia. May God protect us all.
