If I Had Known a War Would Happen, I Would Have Said No: Tatevik Revazyan
Tatevik Revazyan, the former head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, stated in an interview: “To be honest, I had no idea what I was getting into. If I had known what was going to happen, I would have most likely said ‘no’. Because who would agree to such a thing knowing that a war would break out, and you would have to take responsibility for the safety of civilian aircraft in your country's airspace?”
She continued: “Then came the coronavirus, which literally brought the whole world to a halt. Our airlines were included in Europe’s ‘blacklist’. We lost one aircraft in Iran and had to bring it back.”
Writing for tert.am, she added: “If any of this had been mentioned during a job interview and I was asked, ‘Are you ready for such trials?’, I would definitely have answered ‘no, I prefer my job at a Silicon Valley company’, which pays ten times more and doesn’t cause such headaches.”
