I Will Go on the Path to Liberate the Church: Aragatsotn Governor

The Governor of Aragatsotn, Sergey Movsisyan, who arrived at Hovanavank with his wife, stated in an interview with journalists: 'I participate in the liturgy not because it is in the Aragatsotn region, but I would act this way if it were at any point in Armenia.'

'I will be at any point in Armenia if our clergy rise above their fears and openly speak out against the corrupt phenomena that tarnish the Armenian Apostolic Church,' Movsisyan added.

He emphasized that no one instructed him to attend the liturgy; instead, he made the choice himself as a follower of the Armenian Apostolic Church. 'I will go on the path to liberate the church. I am here today not only to participate in the Sunday liturgy but also in support of Father Aram,' the governor remarked.

It is noteworthy that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived at the Hovanavank Church, and the Divine Liturgy has commenced.
