Lavrov Comments on Armed Rebellion Attempt in Russia
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated at a press conference that Russia is not obligated to explain anything to anyone regarding the attempted rebellion. This was reported by РИА Новости.
According to Lavrov, the leadership of Russia operates "transparently," and therefore is not required to provide any guarantees.
"The president has spoken on this topic, and all political forces in our country have addressed this issue. If anyone in the West has doubts, well, that’s your problem," Lavrov noted.
Recall that on the night of June 24, Wagner fighters had seized the headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don. Russian President Vladimir Putin described the actions of the Wagner group as a "criminal adventure."
