According to Zelensky, Kyiv is ready to continue fighting against Russia for at least the next two to three years: Donald Tusk
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told him that Kyiv is prepared to continue fighting against Russia for at least the next two to three years.
In an interview with the British newspaper The Sunday Times, Tusk revealed that the discussion took place on Thursday and was dedicated to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the growing Russian threat to Western Europe.
"I have no doubt that Ukraine will continue to exist as an independent state. The most important question now is how many casualties we will still have. President Zelensky told me on Thursday that he hopes the war will not last for ten years, but Ukraine is ready to fight for another two or three years," he said.
The Polish leader warned that Russia is facing "dramatic" long-term challenges, which are exacerbated by new US sanctions targeting its oil sector, but emphasized that Moscow still has an advantage in one crucial area.
