Three Chinese Nationals Arrested in Georgia for Attempting to Illegally Purchase 2 kg of Uranium
Three Chinese nationals have been arrested in Georgia for attempting to illegally purchase 2 kilograms of uranium. According to the country’s State Security Service, the detainees planned to transport the radioactive material to China through Russian territory.
The value of the transaction was estimated at $400,000.
The arrested individuals face up to 10 years in prison.
