There Is No Reason to Trust Washington After 12 Days of Aggression: Abbas Araqchi

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that there is no reason to trust Washington after the 12-day aggression of the United States and Israel, adding that the excessive demands from the U.S. hinder the resumption of negotiations, as reported by Mehr.

During his online speech at the event, he described the national unity of Iranians, which emerged during and after the 12-day war against Israel, as a turning point in history, emphasizing that this unity must be preserved.

“Maintaining readiness does not necessarily mean that war will happen again; being prepared is the most important factor in preventing war. If you are not prepared for war, it will occur; if you are prepared to fight, no one will dare to attack. There is now readiness within the armed forces, the people, the government, and society, and it is even higher than before the 12-day war. I am confident that this experience will not be repeated, and if they make a serious mistake, they will face the same response as during the 12-day war in June,” he stated in his speech.

The minister emphasized that Iran has the right to enrich uranium, noting that Iran's nuclear program is pursued exclusively for peaceful purposes.
