Military and Defense Spending Increased by $1.1 Billion, Says Papikyan
Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has presented the expenditures in the defense sector (2018-2026) in both dram and dollar terms. During a public broadcast, he specifically noted: "Let us pay attention to the 2018 budget, which was 245 billion drams. For a clearer perspective in foreign currency, this amounts to about 640 million dollars.
In 2025, defense spending reached 667 billion drams, which is approximately 1 billion 741 million 604 thousand dollars. This means that military and defense sector expenditures have increased by 1.1 billion dollars. This is just for the information of critics."
