Armen Galjyan Comments on Video Involving Archbishop Arshak and a Woman

The head of the Yerevan City Council's Civil Contract faction, Armen Galjyan, addressed the intimate video featuring Archbishop Arshak, the head of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin's administration, on his Facebook page. He wrote, "Archbishop T. Arshak Khachatryan is also a member of the Mother See's disciplinary committee. How is Father Aram expected to accept their decision to defrock him after all this? When Peter was brought before the chief priests of the Jewish Sanhedrin, who forbade preaching in the name of Jesus, he responded with Acts of the Apostles 5:29: 'We must obey God rather than men.'"

It is noteworthy that on October 24, an intimate video involving Archbishop Arshak was circulated online. Archbishop T. Arshak Khachatryan denied his involvement in the video published on a newly emerged Telegram channel. On his Telegram channel, the archbishop also denied that he had presented a demand for the resignation of His Holiness the Catholicos of All Armenians.
