People Won't Get Caught in Chaos at the Airport: Joint Project by the State Revenue Committee and NSS

The State Revenue Committee of Armenia and the National Security Service (NSS) are developing a joint project aimed at reducing the risk of unnecessary chaos at the airport. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Eduard Hakobyan, during a press conference today.

“We are working on an important reform with the NSS, which will allow us to have preliminary information about passengers from different airports. That is, before the passenger arrives in Armenia, we will already have information about their movements, which will enable us to analyze and understand what the risks are, and only the highest-risk individuals will be channeled through the red lane, instead of all passengers,” said Hakobyan.

He also addressed the risk management system, which distinguishes travelers who have committed various violations at different times. “We have cataloged all individuals and established risk profiles. In our system, we have identified those individuals who have attempted to bring illegal items,” he added.

The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee noted that this risk management system has already been implemented and operates in a targeted manner.
