Will Innocence Presumption Advocates Now Acknowledge That Hambartsumyan Used Violence in 2018? Yeghoyan
Arman Yeghoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, referred to the detention of Davit Hambartsumyan, the head of the Masis community, on his Facebook page.
"According to advocates of the presumption of innocence, we can now calmly say that in 2018, Davit Hambartsumyan used violence against young people marching towards Republic Square with the use of weapons and items that could serve as weapons. We keep asking, will the advocates of the presumption of innocence say this now? Of course, they won't say it because they are not people who speak what they see; they are advocates of the presumption of innocence. Is it hard to understand?" the MP wrote.
It should be reminded that, according to the verdict announced by the Yerevan Criminal Court on October 23, Davit Hambartsumyan has been sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison. Hambartsumyan is accused of committing hooliganism using a weapon at the crossroads of the villages of Hayanist and Hovtashat on April 22, 2018.
