The Number of Accidents Has Been Deliberately Distorted: Romanos Petrosyan
The interim manager of HEC, Romanos Petrosyan, has published statistics on his Facebook page.
"From August 1, 2025, to October 20, during the period following the appointment of the interim manager, there have been approximately 2,281 accidents in the entire distribution network of HEC, all of which have been fully recorded in operational logs and included in official reports. During the same period last year, the actual number of accidents in HEC was 2,782 (around 500 more), which were recorded in 'handwritten notes', but the number of these accidents was deliberately distorted in operational records and the reports submitted to the Regulatory Authority, with only 2,122 accidents recorded. During the specified period in 2025, the average duration of accidents in HEC's distribution network was 53.12 minutes (less than 1 hour). In the same period of 2024, the average duration of accidents in HEC was 73.18 minutes (about 37.8% longer than this year). These are the indicators of efficient management in their own way," wrote Petrosyan.
