Medvedev Proposes Measures on Migrants
Labor migrants should leave Russia once they have completed all their work assignments. This announcement was made by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
“We need to improve the mechanisms for attracting foreign labor to our country. First and foremost, we need an effective system for the organized recruitment of labor migrants. It is essential that migrants remain in our country strictly in accordance with the terms of their employment contracts and leave immediately after completing their work,” wrote Medvedev.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council also emphasized the necessity of minimizing the burden on social and healthcare sectors in the context of illegal migration. Furthermore, Medvedev believes that uncontrolled migration benefits the enemies of Russia. He characterized the situation involving illegal foreigners in the country as “serious and tense.”
