Discussion on Armenian-French Strategic Partnership Held in Paris
On October 23, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the President of the French Senate, Gérard Larcher, in Paris. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces, Cédric Perrin, the President of the France-Armenia Friendship Group, Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, and the Vice Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on European Affairs, Alain Cadec.
The interlocutors discussed the development of the strategic partnership between Armenia and France, emphasizing that the dynamically developing relations encompass all key areas. Future initiatives were also discussed.
The meeting thoroughly addressed developments in the South Caucasus. Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments and Armenia's vision for the region under the established peace conditions with Azerbaijan, including the optimal realization of the potential to become an important communication hub.
At the conclusion of the meeting with the President of the French Senate, Minister Mirzoyan registered in the Senate’s book of honorary guests, the “Golden Book.” He stated, “Having the honor to be hosted once again in the Senate of the French Republic, this house of democracy and the rule of law, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to President Gérard Larcher for his warm welcome, which is a sincere reflection of the strong friendship between Armenia and France. I reaffirm my deep gratitude to President Gérard Larcher as well as to all members of the Senate for their constant commitment and decisive voice in favor of the unique relations between Armenia and France. May these exceptional relations continue to develop, for the benefit of our shared universal values, common history, and steadfast friendship-based strategic partnership.”
