Yerevan and Naples Sign Agreement

Yerevan and Naples have signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation.

“Naples is a city that is much closer to us Armenians than it seems. In the historic center of the city, there is a street named San Gregorio Armeno, dedicated to Saint Gregory the Illuminator, whose relics are kept in the church of the same name. This is a beautiful symbol of the connection between our peoples, which has a history of centuries.

In 2023, when I discussed the idea of having a direct flight between our cities with my counterpart, Mayor Giattano Manfredi, we also talked about this here in Yerevan, and today I can happily say that it has become a reality. The direct flight from Yerevan to Naples has commenced since October, bringing our cities even closer.

With the signed document, we will have new initiatives with our partners in Naples,” wrote Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
