What do you mean by saying the Civil Contract party wants blood? How can we want blood? Vahagn Aleksanyan

Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Civil Contract party, addressed the remarks made by Martun Grigoryan, a member of the Honorary group, during his speech, stating that he has heard many troubling things.

“You say that the members of the Civil Contract are looking for blood in Gyumri, and presumably referencing my words where I say that Vardan Ghukasyan or his clan has killed your associates, and you have voted for him. I say it, but that does not mean that I want blood; on the contrary, it means that I do not want blood. You know better than me that the most notorious murders in Gyumri, almost all of them, were committed when Vardan Ghukasyan was the mayor, when his clan was in power in that city. Knowing this, you went and voted for Vardan Ghukasyan,” stated Aleksanyan.

Addressing Martun Grigoryan, he said that they are not the ones who want blood under these circumstances. “You are the ones who elected Vardan Ghukasyan, whom you yourselves blamed for those murders, whom your family and friends have blamed for those killings. Now you say that the Civil Contract wants blood; how can we want blood? You accused us, saying that you want to bring power in Gyumri through Vardanik, but you went and elected Vardan Ghukasyan as mayor. You chose a mayor who brings blood,” noted the MP.
