Ruben Vardanyan Refuses His Lawyer

At the latest court hearing in the military court of Baku, Ruben Vardanyan requested a confidential meeting with his lawyer, Abraham Bermani. According to Azerbaijani media, the court granted the request and declared a brief recess. After the recess, Ruben Vardanyan announced that he was refusing his lawyer.

It is noted that Vardanyan is dissatisfied with the overall course of the trial. During the discussion of the request, the senior assistant to the prosecutor general, Vusal Aliyev, stated that the defendant has the right to refuse a lawyer.
