What Could be the Reason for the Murder of a Chechen Girl in Yerevan?

23-year-old Aishat Baymurodova, who fled from Chechnya a few months ago due to domestic violence with the help of human rights defenders, has reportedly been suffocated in Yerevan. This was reported by a person who saw her body. The Telegram channel ВЧК-ОГПУ has published this information.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not yet confirmed the theory of murder. “The girl could have been a victim of what is known as an honor killing. This is a common practice in the North Caucasus where male relatives take vengeance on women suspected of inappropriate behavior,” the Telegram channel states.

According to reports, on October 15, the girl did not return from a walk where she was supposed to meet a new girlfriend. Among the Instagram followers of the latter are close associates of Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov,” the Telegram channel further adds.

Recall that on October 19, a citizen called the police operational management center and reported that there was a woman’s corpse in one of the rented apartments on Demirchyan Street in Yerevan.
