Ceasefire Established in Armenia's Eastern Border Zone Through Russian Mediation
According to an agreement reached with the mediation of the Russian side, as of 18:30, the fire has been ceased in Armenia's eastern border zone, and the situation has relatively stabilized.
It should be noted that on November 16, around 13:00, Azerbaijani armed forces units launched an attack on Armenian positions located in that area of the border. The adversary also utilized artillery, armored vehicles, and various calibers of firearms.
As a result of the Armenian side's response actions, the adversary has suffered significant personnel losses, and several units of military equipment have been destroyed or rendered inoperable. The Armenian side has also incurred losses. Currently, confirmed information pertains to one fatality: 1991-born conscript Meruzhan Arthur Harutyunyan. The number of wounded is also being clarified. Additionally, 12 servicemen have been captured. The Ministry of Defense will issue a relevant statement as new information becomes available.
