We Will Try to Govern the City Until the Mayor is Dismissed, Says Gyumri's Deputy Mayor

We will try to govern the city until the mayor is dismissed, said Gyumri's deputy mayor, Gagik Manukyan, during a conversation with reporters near the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

"What has happened is definitely regarded as political persecution, and we do not doubt Vardan Ghukasyan's integrity," he stated.

"I have not heard that recording. But I do not believe there has been any discussion about bribery involving Mr. Ghukasyan, because he constantly tells the apparatus during all consultations not to attempt such things. Mr. Ghukasyan is not a two-year-old child. Such things do not happen," Manukyan added.

It is worth recalling that Vardan Ghukasyan does not accept the charges laid against him.
