Vardan Ghukasyan, the Mayor of Gyumri, has made a statement: “Proud and just people of Gyumri, it is time to stand by our city and our dignity. Currently, there are actions underway at the city hall aimed at removing the mayor. But we must understand that this is not just about one person; it concerns the independence of the entire city.

The state must not violate the autonomy of Gyumri. We, the people of Gyumri, have the right to choose and protect our mayor. Join, speak, do not remain silent. Gyumri is strong because of its people,” Ghukasyan wrote.
