Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Completion of Highway Construction Connecting Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Armenia
Georgia is working on the creation of border checkpoints with Azerbaijan within the framework of a "single window" concept. This was announced by Georgia’s Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili.
According to him, significant steps have been taken in recent years in Georgia to simplify public services, implement digital taxation, and conduct effective customs control.
He emphasized the importance of completing the final sections of the highway that leads to the borders of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Armenia in terms of strengthening connections.
Khutsishvili also discussed the significance of the "Middle Corridor" and the investments made by Georgia in this project: “In order for the Middle Corridor to become an effective and sustainable route and partially an alternative to other routes, closer cooperation is needed between countries in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, along with continued support from international financial institutions,” he added.
