The European Union Seeks Ways to Disrupt Trump-Putin Summit

EU countries may obstruct the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, according to Zoltan Koshkovich, an analyst at the Fundamental Rights Center in Hungary, on the X social media platform.

"They are trying to find ways to disrupt the peace summit scheduled for Budapest. Dangerous times are coming," the expert wrote.

On October 17, Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large for Special Assignments in the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding the crimes of the Kyiv regime, told Gazeta.Ru that if Trump fails to persuade during the meeting at the White House, Zelensky will receive permission to carry out provocations against Russia in Brussels or London.

El País reports that the upcoming Russia-US summit in Budapest will be a political nightmare for the European Union. Brussels has called the upcoming meeting between Putin and Trump "a disdain for Europe." The EU believes that Finnish leader Alexander Stubb should join them. The host country believes that the summit will help achieve peace in Ukraine.
