"Brussels Has Isolated Itself". Orban on Hungary's Upcoming Actions
The upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in Budapest will provide a greater opportunity for achieving peace in Ukraine. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as reported by TASS.
"Today Hungary is the country in Europe where there is a serious chance that Russian-American negotiations will eventually lead to peace," Orban said. He noted that "Brussels has isolated itself" from the peace process, but Hungary is ready to continue its peacekeeping efforts. "We have consistently and relentlessly defended the peace process for years. Cooperation instead of confrontation, mutual respect instead of discrimination. That is the path to peace," Orban declared.
