Prince Andrew Jeffrey Renounces His Title of Duke of York

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of Charles III, has announced that he is stepping down from his titles, including the title of Duke of York, amid ongoing pressures related to his ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

The Times previously reported that Charles III was considering stripping Prince Andrew of his titles as the palace reached a 'boiling point' following a series of scandals. It was also noted that the King hoped Andrew would voluntarily renounce his title.

Media reports indicate that the Duke of York wrote a letter to Epstein in February 2011, just 12 weeks after claiming to have severed all ties with him. New evidence of Andrew's closeness with the convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein has emerged in recently released emails.
