My Father is in Detention for the Words Standing Next to the Church: Samvel Karapetyan's Daughter

We are all standing and will continue to stand next to the church. This was stated by Samvel Karapetyan's daughter, Tatev Karapetyan.

“When people in the country are arrested not for their actions but for their words, it is no longer a problem of a single individual; the question changes to what kind of Armenia we will have: free or fearful. When issues in the country are resolved with insults on social media, and at the same time, your country is being confused with Cambodia or Albania, it concerns all of us, our honor. It has already been 121 days since my family has stood not only beside a loved one but for the rights and values of every citizen in the Republic of Armenia. My father is in detention for the words standing next to the church. We are all standing and will continue to stand next to the church and defend our values. My father always reminds us: if the stone forgets from which mountain it was hewn, it turns to dust. They cannot turn us to dust.”
