Central Electoral Commission Grants Parliamentary Mandate to Arthur Manukyan

The Central Electoral Commission has granted a parliamentary mandate to Arthur Manukyan during its regular session held on September 13. This was announced by the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia.

“During the regular session held on September 13, based on the record of the President of the National Assembly regarding the recognition of the powers of National Assembly member Edgar Arakelyan as having been terminated, and guided by Article 100, Part 3 of the Electoral Code, a record was made to grant the parliamentary mandate to Arthur Ishkhanovich Manukyan, the next candidate on the state electoral list of the 'My Step' party alliance,” the statement from the CEC reads.

Earlier, National Assembly member Edgar Arakelyan from the 'My Step' faction had submitted his resignation. On September 12, during a session, the President of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, announced the termination of Edgar Arakelyan's parliamentary powers.
