The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has stated that a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip does not mean he intends to forgo achieving a decisive victory over Palestinian militant groups. This was reported by The Times of Israel.

“We will undoubtedly achieve all our goals in this war,” he said during a memorial ceremony commemorating the attack of October 7, 2023.

Netanyahu noted that the struggle is not over, and he is determined to “achieve a decisive victory” and return the remains of all Israeli hostages killed in Gaza to their families.

Regarding the situation in the Middle East, the Israeli Prime Minister also emphasized that “we are still facing serious challenges from our enemies who seek to rearm.” He simultaneously pointed out that there are currently significant opportunities to normalize relations with neighboring Arab countries.

On October 13, HAMAS returned all 20 surviving Israeli hostages, in exchange for which nearly 2,000 prisoners were released from Israeli jails.
