Putin Orders Nuclear Weapons Exercises

The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation has announced, upon the instruction of President Vladimir Putin, that preparations are underway for upcoming military exercises involving the Southern Military District and naval missile formations. This information was provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The defense department has noted that the exercises will focus on issues related to the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. The ministry emphasized that these exercises serve as a response to provocative statements and threats made by certain Western officials against Russia.

Previously, Germany's defense minister had raised suspicions regarding Russia's possible interference with GPS operations in the Baltic States.
