Discussion on Alexandr Kochubaev's Detention Measure Assigned to Judge Masis Melkonyan

The discussion regarding the detention measure of lawyer Alexandr Kochubaev, arrested for a Facebook post, has been assigned to Judge Masis Melkonyan. The time for the court hearing has yet to be announced.

It is noteworthy that the lawyer was arrested today around 17:40 while exiting the Shengavit court. Masked law enforcement officers laid Kochubaev on the ground before taking him to the Investigative Committee, where charges have been filed against him.

Kochubaev is facing criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 490 of the Criminal Code (publication of damaging information about a judge, prosecutor, or investigator that harms the rights and legal interests of these individuals, related to their legitimate service or professional activities).
