Armavir Governor on Developments in Mrdzavan

“I am not authorized to evict anyone from their ancestral home.” This statement was made by Armavir Governor Vahram Khachatryan in a conversation with NEWS.am near the government building, referring to the ongoing tense atmosphere in Parakar, particularly in Mrdzavan. Just days ago, residents initiated a petition to the government to have the Akhtoyan family removed from the community.

When asked how he would comment on the detention of clergymen and the arrest of Mkrtich Srbejyan, the governor responded, “I do not comment.”
