OSCE President Violates Georgian Legislation: Spokesperson
The actions of Elina Valtonen, Finland's Foreign Minister and current OSCE President, constitute a violation of Georgian legislation. It is ironic that this also breaches Article 41 of the Vienna Convention, adopted in the city where the OSCE headquarters is located. This statement was made by Shalva Papuashvili, the spokesperson for the Georgian Parliament, on his social media page.
According to the spokesperson, by participating in a rally held in Tbilisi, the OSCE President demonstrated support for a violent coup against the Georgian people, indicating that the rules-based international order is an empty expression.
“The Finnish Minister may be unaware of this, but she cannot cite a single instance of violation of this right by the Georgian state in the last 13 years,” he wrote. Papuashvili highlighted that Georgian legislation guarantees the right to assemble in any location.
