Venezuelan President Calls Nobel Peace Prize Laureate a Witch
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro referred to Nobel Peace Prize winner and opposition leader María Corina Machado as a "devil, witch," according to Venezuelan El Universal.
"Ninety percent of the population rejects the devil-witch," he stated while commenting on Machado’s calls for external intervention.
According to the newspaper, Maduro reaffirmed the Venezuelan people's willingness to defend their homeland against those who do not agree with a just peace characterized by dignity and equality.
"We want peace, and we will have peace, but peace with freedom and sovereignty," Maduro concluded.
It should be noted that last Friday, the Nobel Committee awarded the Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado.
