This Rising Wave Cannot Be Silenced by Arrests: Narek Karapetyan

The government will do everything possible to extend Samvel Karapetyan's freedom restriction by another two months. Narek Karapetyan, the nephew of Samvel Karapetyan, stated this during a conversation with journalists near the Anti-Corruption Court.

“They often claim that they have no concerns about Samvel Karapetyan and the movement he started. If they have no concerns, why are they so actively trying to extend his detention?” Karapetyan said.

According to him, this entirely reflects the fears of the authorities.

Commenting on the accusations of tax evasion and money laundering, Karapetyan noted that most of the companies undergo annual audits. Some of them are audited by the world's top four auditing firms, so if there were issues, they would certainly be aware of them.

Narek Karapetyan emphasized that there will be a large rally and massive march at the end of the week to show the authorities that this rising wave cannot be silenced by arrests and oppressive tactics.
