State to Cover Insurance Premiums for Individuals Aged 65 and Over: Anahit Avanesyan

With the implementation of health insurance, individuals aged 65 and over will be included in the first phase of the system during 2026, and the state will cover their insurance premiums. This was stated by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, on her Facebook page.

She also mentioned the necessary conditions for participation in this phase of the system, which are:

1. Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia
2. Residency in Armenia for more than 183 days

Individuals aged 65 and over will receive insurance regardless of whether:

• They have a status under the Disability or Functional Assessment System.
• They are employed and have income.
• They have chronic diseases.
• They belong to any socially vulnerable group.
